This Saturday at 7pm the Bardavon and the Poughkeepsie Library’s BIG READ present a free event -Appalachian Fusion:A lively mix of Appalachian music and dance with the Vanaver Caravan blended with images from the Library of Congress. Plus short stories read from Ron Rash’sBurning Brightfeaturing Actor’s Studio veteran Maggie Low, film and television actor Michael Kingsbaker, and Mount Academy student Gavin Maendel reading from Mary Knight’sSaving Wonder. Appalachian music, dance, photography and spoken word this Saturday at 7pm at the Bardavon. FREE and open to the public!
