Academic awards at Columbia-Greene

HUDSON, N.Y. --Columbia-Greene Community College held its annual academic awards ceremony and reception on Friday, May 10 in the Arts Center Theatre on the C-GCC campus.

The ceremony recognizes graduates of the college's Honors Studies Program (HSP); inductees into Alpha Epsilon Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK), and the Chi Gamma Chi Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL), an Adult-student Honor Society.

The recipients of the HSP program must meet an eligibility in order to be a graduate certain requirements must be completed, a minimum of 12 credits of honors-level courses and an overall college grade-point- average of 3.25 or above. This year, John Hunter McClung of Catskill and Olivia Noelle Shaffer of Nassau each earned their HSP graduate certificates.
