Hudson man arrested for drug charges on the Thurway

Hudson, NY man arrested for possessing marijuana and ecstasy following a traffic stop on the Thruway.

PRESS RELEASE

Saugerties, NY – On March 23, 2019 at approximately 11:04 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Saugerties for a vehicle and traffic violation. During the interview of the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established. Driver, Justin D. Weldon, 39, of Hudson, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 30 grams of marijuana, 4 pills of amphetamine dextroamphetamine (Adderall), 6 pills of ecstasy, and 2 glassine envelopes containing less than a gram of ecstasy. 

Weldon was taken into custody and transported to SP Kingston where he was processed and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th degree; a Class B Misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

Weldon was released and issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Saugerties Court on April 3, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
